As I’ve been running back and forth between Edinburgh and Monifieth moving stuff out of the flat, I had my first view of the Forth Rail Bridge without any scaffolding.
I’ve been visiting Scotland since at least 1998 and have never seen it without. Now it’s got some special new paint that should allow it to remain in full view for at least 40 years before it needs another coat.
It’s honestly breathtaking. It’s amazing how light it looks, something you never could fully appreciate with parts of it covered.
